The Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba (WECM) will be deferring loan payments for three months to help women-owned businesses in the province.
In a release, they also say they won’t charge any interest on loans whether clients opted into the deferred payment option or not.
WECM Loans Manager Heather Stephens is reminding people that Western Economic Diversification Canada is offering loans of up to $40,000 for eligible women-owned or partnered business. She says this helps entrepreneurs cope with financial hardship and recovery from economic disruption during the pandemic.
Stephens is encouraging people who need additional funding or financing to reach out to one of their Business Advisors to ask about their Regional Relief and Recovery Fund, and other supports.

Other loans available for Manitoba businesses include the Manitoba Bridge Grant and the Canadian Emergency Rent Subsidy.
